WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

ROMEX® Resin-Bound Surfacing 5-Year Limited Warranty

PROFI-DEKO® and PURE+®

Issued by: ROMEX North America Inc. (“ROMEX,” “we,” “our”)

Warranty term: Five (5) years from the date of installation (or substantial completion, if documented)

Covered system: Resin-bound hardscape surface installed using ROMEX resin surfacing products (including PROFI-DEKO® and PURE+®) with
ROMEX-approved aggregates

1. Warranty Coverage

ROMEX warrants to the original purchaser that the warranted resin-bound hardscape surface will remain free from material-related defects for five
(5) years from the installation date (or substantial completion, if documented).

Covered defects are limited to the following, when attributable to material defects:

  • Structural failure

  • Loss of bond strength between ROMEX binder and ROMEX-approved aggregate

  • Delamination or system breakdown

  • UV-related degradation of UV-stable resin chemistry, where a UV-stable product was specified and installed per ROMEX requirements

2. Conditions Required for Warranty Validity

This Warranty applies only when all of the following conditions are satisfied:

Qualified installation and approved materials

  • Installation is performed by a qualified installer trained in ROMEX methods.

  • Only ROMEX-approved materials are used, including binder/resin, aggregate, and any required primers, top coats, renew coats, or sealers where
    applicable.

Compliance with ROMEX documentation

  • Substrate preparation, installed thickness, mix ratios, placement methods, and curing controls (including temperature and moisture
requirements) follow the applicable ROMEX technical data sheets and installation guides.

ROMEX installation oversight

The project is completed under ROMEX installation oversight, meaning ROMEX or a ROMEX-authorized representative has the opportunity to review
and confirm:

  • system design

  • substrate readiness

  • aggregate type and condition

  • installation approach

ROMEX may request photos, batch records, and/or a site visit as part of oversight.

Maintenance requirements

  • The surface is maintained in accordance with ROMEX maintenance recommendations, including routine cleaning and removal of debris and
    organic matter.

  • If the specified system includes a maintenance top coat or renew coat, the owner must complete the recommended top coat service at or around
the 3-year mark (or within ROMEX’s published maintenance window for the product/system) to maintain warranty eligibility.

3. Exclusions Not Covered by This Warranty

This Warranty does not cover issues caused by, related to, or resulting from:

Improper, careless, or non-compliant installation practices

  • Use of non-ROMEX binders/resins, aggregates, additives, primers, sealers/top coats, cleaners, or repair materials not approved in writing by
    ROMEX

  • Substrate or base failures, including ground movement, settling, or frost heave

  • Drainage or moisture-related problems outside ROMEX specifications, including capillary moisture, hydrostatic pressure, or installation during
unsuitable weather, temperature, or moisture conditions

  • Impacts, abrasion beyond normal wear expectations, sharp objects, accidents, misuse, or abuse

  • Damage from tree roots or construction equipment

  • Exposure to caustic chemicals, solvents, or de-icing chemicals not approved for ROMEX resin-bound systems

  • Staining or cosmetic discoloration from dirt, biological growth, spills, neglect, metal/rust/tannin sources, or inadequate cleaning

  • Normal wear and tear, minor surface abrasion, or fading consistent with environmental exposure and traffic

  • Loads, turning forces, or use cases exceeding those stated in ROMEX documentation for the installed system

4. Remedies

If a valid claim is made within the 5-year term and ROMEX determines, in its sole discretion, that a covered defect exists, ROMEX may provide one or
more of the following remedies:

  • Replacement ROMEX resin and/or approved aggregate materials

  • A material credit toward remediation

  • Technical guidance for repair

Not covered unless ROMEX agrees otherwise in writing:

Labor, removal and disposal, contractor fees, equipment, access costs, lost time, loss of use, and any incidental or consequential damages.

5. Claim Procedure

To make a claim, the original purchaser must submit a written claim through an authorized ROMEX representative (or ROMEX customer support
channel, where applicable) and include:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Installer name and company

  • Project address

  • Installation date (or substantial completion documentation, if applicable)

  • Description of the issue

  • Clear photos and/or video

Timing requirement: Claims must be submitted within 30 days of discovery of the alleged defect.

ROMEX may require additional documentation, including:

  • Batch records

  • Substrate and base details

  • Maintenance records, including the 3-year top coat service where applicable

ROMEX may request a site inspection before making a coverage determination. ROMEX will provide a written determination and next steps.

6. Limitation of Liability

This Warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty provided by ROMEX for resin-bound surfacing materials and is in lieu of all other warranties to the
extent permitted by law.

ROMEX’s total liability is limited to the remedies stated in this Warranty (replacement materials and/or material credit). ROMEX is not liable for labor
or for incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages.

7. Transferability

This Warranty is provided to the original purchaser only and is not transferable, unless ROMEX states otherwise in writing for a specific project.

8. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

This Warranty is governed by the laws of the province or state where the product was installed, to the extent permitted.

This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by jurisdiction. Nothing in this Warranty limits rights you
may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
