british columbia
British Columbia’s varied topography and wet coastal climate pose distinct challenges for hardscape construction. From persistent rainfall in the Lower Mainland to freeze-thaw conditions in the Interior, proper drainage and long-term durability are essential.
ROMEX Hardscapes offers high-performance, permeable solutions tailored to these conditions. Our resin-bound jointing and gravel binding systems are designed to reduce stormwater runoff, resist erosion, and maintain stability on sloped or uneven terrain. Whether you’re working on residential patios, commercial walkways, or municipal infrastructure, ROMEX provides dependable, environmentally responsible systems that enhance both the function and lifespan of hardscape installations across British Columbia.

CITY OF COQUITLAM TREE SURROUNDS
The City of Coquitlam was looking for a long-term and reliable solution to their tree surround needs. Their previous application blocked the tree roots from receiving an adequate amount of water and therefore caused the roots to grow upwards and damage/shift the sidewalk. Wanting to try a better alternative, they needed a long-term solution that would allow the trees to get the water they required to prevent any damages and tripping hazards while remaining a safe and easily maintained surface that was durable enough to last for years and survive harsh weather conditions.
