Site Requirements: The substrate must be water-permeable and free of settlement. To ensure reliable adhesion, the stones should be clean and dust-free because dust and moisture can significantly reduce the binding force. For added weed protection, install a weed barrier under the gravel, and mask or protect adjacent areas that should not be treated to prevent splashes.

Preparation: Protect surrounding surfaces with cardboard or plastic sheeting and have the right application tool ready so you can distribute the product evenly (a pressure sprayer or watering can work). Before starting, confirm the gravel or grit surface is dry, and the stone is clean and free of dust so the binder can adhere properly.

Application: For the spray method, shake the container, pour the product into a pressure sprayer, then wet the dry surface evenly until all stones are completely wet, without oversaturating. Turn and mix the stones with a rake to expose uncoated material, wet again until everything is fully wet, then compact by pressing down and lightly tapping with a trowel. After about 24 hours, apply a third coat as a sealing pass with no additional turning or compacting. For the mixing method, shake the container, add the product into a mixing container with the stones at a ratio of 1 quart | 1 litre per 55 lbs| 25 kg of grit or gravel, then mix until evenly moistened. Place the material, spread with a trowel, and compact by pressing down and lightly tapping. After about 24 hours, you can optionally seal by spraying the surface and completely wetting the stones.

Professional Tip: Each additional sealing of the surface increases strength. For surfaces that will see heavier wear, use a professional grit and gravel binder such as ROMEX® – PROFI-DEKO or ROMEX® – PURE +.

Subsequent Treatment: After the final application, do not walk on or stress the surface for at least 24 hours so it can cure and reach optimum strength. For permanently stable surfaces, repeat the application every 12 to 24 months in areas subject to heavy use, while purely decorative areas typically only need refreshing every 24 months to maintain stability and appearance.

Important Information: This product is not suitable for driveways, high-traffic areas, or use under furniture. Wear impermeable protective gloves when working, rinse the pressure sprayer thoroughly with warm water after use to prevent clogging, and clean any spills immediately with a wet sponge to avoid residue or staining. Weather Warning: Unfavourable weather can negatively affect results, so review product labels, instructions, and climatic restrictions before starting. The outside temperature must be at least 45°F | 7°C, relative humidity should not exceed 85%, and there should be no rain forecast. Protect the fresh surface from rain for 24 to 36 hours (without covering it directly so air can circulate), and ideally plan for about 48 hours of dry, warm weather after application to support optimal curing.
