ROMEX EASY ready mixed jointing mortar is incredibly easy to install and perfect for joint widths greater than 1/4″ 5mm on natural stone or concrete pavers. Empty this vacuum-packed mortar onto your surface, and squeegee the product into the joints. Once EASY reacts to the air it will harden preventing ants/weeds and eliminating the need for replacement or touchups.
WEATHER WARNING – Only install at surface temperatures between 5°C – 30°C | 41°F – 86°F. Lower temperatures result in slower hardening while higher temperatures cure faster.

Construction Site Preparation: Prepare the foundation according to expected traffic loads. Follow guidelines for permeable paved stone surfaces. Ensure loads won’t cause sinking or loosening of stones. Ideally, use ROMEX® Trass-Bed products and ROMEX® SYSTEM-GUARANTEE (RSG). Use ROMEX® application tools. Do not use in permanently wet areas. Use with a water-permeable base or on concrete with a slope of at least 2% and a permeable
bedding layer.
Preparation: Clean joints to a depth of at least 30 mm | 1 1⁄4″. For thinner slabs, use bonded laying methods and fill joints completely with ROMEX® – EASY. Clean surface of all impurities. Tape off adjacent and sensitive surfaces to avoid resin contact.
Pre-wetting: Pre-wet the surface and keep it moist during installation. Porous or hot surfaces may need more pre- wetting.
Application: Open bucket and vacuum bag, pour mortar evenly onto moist surface. Work mortar into joints with a broom or rubber squeegee, ensuring deep and complete filling. Tool the joints to compress down if necessary/ desired but sweeping typically achieves a satisfactory finish. Clean tools and work shoes regularly with water spray to avoid impurities.
Tip for narrow joints: Compact joints with light water spray if needed. Refill sunken joints with more mortar. Ensure sufficient slope to prevent standing water.
Final Cleaning: Use a soft broom to sweep the stone surface diagonally until all residual mortar is removed. Do not reuse swept-off material. Residual material can be swept off with a street broom after 24 hours.
Important Information: ROMEX® – EASY has a unique odour which will disappear over time or in the few days following application. Use in well-ventilated outdoor areas. Gloss/ resin film may form without sufficient pre-wetting, this will disappear on its own in time. Lay a sample surface if unsure. Clean work tools with water. Wear PPE during work. Remove moss, leaves, and organics regularly from the jointed surface. The joint may sand off slightly due to raw materials. The hardening process can take up to 4 weeks depending on the weather, 72 hours typical in reasonable temperatures. Avoid high-pressure cleaners and solvents on jointed surface.
