I absolutely love using this product for all of my hardscaping jobs. It's so easy to use, water permeable, stops weeds and ants, is super durable, and looks great! I bought a pail of Rompox Easy at a distributor which turned out to be the wrong colour.  I went back to them and pointed out the mistake and they couldn’t help me. I then got hold of Tom at Romex North Vancouver and he couldn’t have been more accommodating. Even though the original product had been laid and unreturnable Tom graciously replaced it right away without question.  I’m very thankful to Tom and his staff.

I just completed the installation of about 215 square feet of 24" porcelain pavers (on an open grade gravel base) for a patio in my courtyard.  I did a lot of research before coming up with my design and material selection.  I went ahead with a 1/8" paver spacing without having found a joint filler I was sure I would be happy with.  I had a lot of apprehension with using polymeric sand, partly because it isn't permeable, and partly due to many negative reviews I found of different products.  When I was finally ready to fill the joints, I did another thorough search on line and luckily discovered the Romex Rompox Ecofine product.  Local rep Tom Kirk was very helpful in answering my questions and providing helpful advice.  Rompox Ecofine offered the benefits of (1) being well suited to my 1/8" gaps, (2) being available in a choice of 3 colors, (3) being easily applied, (4) being permeable, and (5) being robust enough to accept periodic power washing.  One 12.5 kg container was sufficient for my project needs, and the application took me less than 2 hours.  I live in Blaine Washington, and being close to the Vancouver area I luckily was able to purchase the product conveniently close by in Surrey, BC.

I used this product for the very first time to replace the Polymeric Sand on my Banas Stone patio. Up until I discovered ROMEX I had to replace the Polymeric every year as it failed to bond with the stone. This new product from Germany is guaranteed for 5 years! And the best part is that the local rep in Ottawa offered to help/teach me how to do it. Once we swept the sand into the channels between the stones and gently watered it in, a resin was applied over the entire patio surface to seal the sand and enhance the colors of the Banas. As I write this posting the product has cured and it appears the sand is there to stay. Another Ottawa Canada winter in 2024 will be the test but I am hopeful I have found a great solution to an annual headache.
